La Fondation: Bienvenue

Our mission

La Fondation Grenier, Inc. a pour mission de fournir des opportunités aux jeunes femmes et hommes défavorisés, les aidant ainsi à subvenir à leurs besoins et à soutenir leur famille, tout en contribuant au développement de leur communauté. Cette introduction présente brièvement le but et les objectifs de la fondation.

Les Ateliers Grenier, basés à Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, offrent un large éventail d'enseignements allant du primaire à des niveaux avancés, dans des métiers et artisanats essentiels. Le programme vise à fournir aux étudiants une formation professionnelle complète, allant jusqu'à l'obtention d'une licence et d'une certification professionnelle. En plus des compétences métier, les étudiants acquièrent des compétences en littératie, en communication numérique, en comptabilité et en gestion d'entreprise, ce qui les prépare à évoluer dans un environnement économique compétitif.

La Fondation Grenier, enracinée dans le district de Columbia, croit en l'importance du capital culturel dans le développement des communautés dynamiques. Elle vise à développer des programmes éducatifs qui favorisent les échanges entre les sociétés anglo-saxonnes et francophones, conformément à la vision de sa fondatrice, Cynthia Grenier. Les Ateliers, situés dans le quartier historiquement défavorisé d'Abobo à Abidjan, visent à autonomiser les élèves en leur offrant des compétences de base et professionnelles, conformément à la devise d'Arthur Ashe : « Avec ce que nous obtenons, nous pouvons gagner notre vie. Ce que nous donnons ; cependant, fait une vie. »

Our trainings

In Côte d'Ivoire, in the heart of Abobo, The Grenier Foundation's arts and crafts center has been offering professional training at a lower cost in sewing, aesthetics and baking since September 2021 to 45 women from disadvantaged backgrounds. we are adding training in ceramics and dyeing from this year 2022.

This training offers theoretical and practical bases to the participants in order to allow them to acquire excellent knowledge in sewing.

This training teaches participants to master aesthetic care techniques: 136bad5cf58d_à based on natural products.

This training allows to acquire techniques, behaviors and know-how, such as the traceability of products and their conservation but also the sweet preparation of cooked pasta and cakes .
This program also extends to the area of cooking dans which we will prioritize recipes based on organic and healthy products.

Support for autonomy and self-confidence

During their 6-month course and in addition to these technical courses, they are trained in accounting and management, and soon in literacy, computer science and excellence in customer relations. 2022, our ambition is to also offer two-year long training courses leading to a certificate of professional aptitude.

Finally, throughout the year, we organize exceptional interventions (initiation to hip hop dance and yoga, awareness of violence against women, coaching in personal development) and outings (Adama Toungara Museum in Abobo, Banco Park , shows, …). The goal is to help them develop their self-confidence and push doors they wouldn't have dared push before.
